Barry Edwin Gold, October 27, 1948 - January 8, 2009. Barry passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer at the Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario at the age of 60. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary Elizabeth Kane Gold and children Courtney and (Jeff Mason), Jeremy and (Wendy Verscheure), Brandon, Erica, and Matthew and predeceased by infant daughter Mary Elizabeth in 1986. He was blessed with three grandchildren; Mackenzie, Madelyn, and Samantha. He is also survived by his loving mother Gwendolyne, and predeceased by his father Orville in 1990. Also survived by siblings; Sharlene Gardner (predeceased by brother-in-law Paul), Howard Gold and MaryAnne Udvari, Bradley and Patricia Gold, Jayne and Kenneth Rhodes, Shelley Anne and Joseph Reding, Alex and Lorrie Gold. Barry also leaves behind Mother-in-law Shirley Kane and predeceased father-in-law Dan Kane. Also survived by brother-and sister-in-laws Charlotte Kane, Janet and Jim Barney, Dan and Barb Kane, Debbie and Doug Patterson, David and Jen Kane, John and Maria Kane, Laura and Ross Buel as well as many nieces and nephews. Barry attended Loyola University of Chicago. Barry was a hardworking entrepreneur, president of A. Gold & Sons Ltd. and a Director of several other corporations. He was a member of B'nai Brith. A wonderful, loving devoted family man. All who knew Barry would agree that he had a passion for his antiques and sports collection. Barry will be forever in our thoughts and prayers. The Gold Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from the Funeral Home in Blenheim on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Pardoville-Union Cemetery, Raleigh Township.
